Double Chicken Please is a cocktail bar on the Lower East Side of Manhattan co-founded by Taiwan-born mixologists and friends GN Chan and Faye Chen. The establishment opened its doors in November 2020, serving a selection of alcoholic beverages inspired by Asian and Western dishes like cold pizza (Parmigiano Reggiano, burnt toast, tomato, basil honey, egg white) and mango sticky rice (mango rum, sticky rice pu’erh tea wakame, cold brew, coconut). In addition to tantalizing tipples, Double Chicken Please serves a variety of chicken sandwiches, desserts, and plates for sharing. The venue is split into two spaces: The Front Room offers a variety of draft cocktails in a more casual atmosphere, while the Back Room serves craft cocktails in an area decorated with a mid-century modern design. Chen previously worked at Speak Low in Shanghai, the city’s only bar to grace the list of the World’s 50 Best Bars.
